The Lateral Health Plan isn’t just about navigating the best treatment options. It’s full of ways to help keep your health on track with check ins, advice and support.

Your annual health check. More than an MOT.

We’ve partnered with Bluecrest Wellness to deliver an Annual Health Check, designed to help you understand your key health numbers, improve your health and spot potential risks early. It’s worth £362 and included in your policy at no extra cost.

Each year, you’ll get a fully-funded in-clinic health assessment, designed specifically to support those aged over 60. It’s more than just a check-up. You’ll get a comprehensive review of your health, delivered in a convenient and professional setting.

This assessment will help identify early signs of conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney diseases, and more, supporting you to stay healthier for longer. And you’ll have a choice of hundreds of clinic locations nationwide, making it easier to get an appointment close to home or work.

Your tailored annual health check worth £362 includes all of the following:

What next?

At the end you’ll get a personalised, easy-to-understand health report, explaining your results in clear language and helping you take action if anything needs attention. If your health check results suggest further medical investigations might be needed, please contact your NHS GP or use our Virtual GP service. Our care team can support you in navigating your options and next steps.

Virtual GP

GP appointments waiting for you.

Rather than trying to get a routine NHS GP appointment, you can contact a team of GPs online. We’ve partnered with HealthHero to give you access to a 24/7 virtual GP service. Their private GP service is designed to help you get medical advice and treatment quickly. You’ll have convenient, confidential access to experienced GPs anytime, from anywhere.

Health Hero GPs can give you:

  • Medical advice, reassurance and diagnoses where appropriate
  • Private prescriptions, available for home delivery or local pharmacy collection
  • Open referrals to NHS or private services

Help yourself to nutritional support.

You know the importance of eating well, but ever-changing food trends can confuse the issue. To help you make healthy choices, we’re giving you access to registered dietitians through HealthHero’s virtual nutrition service.

Following an initial consultation, you’ll get tailored nutrition and lifestyle advice, weight management support and specialised dietary guidance, designed to support your long-term health.

Our Virtual Nutritionist service can help you with:

  • Weight management and healthy eating.
  • Metabolic and cardiometabolic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and osteoporosis.
  • Digestive conditions like IBS, coeliac and GORD.
  • Food intolerances, allergies and skin-related nutrition concerns.
  • General wellbeing and sports nutrition.

The service includes one assessment and up to three follow-up sessions in each year of your policy. You can also access additional digital resources and dietary tools to support your goals.

In-person and virtual physio

Physio support. Always a good move.

Whatever your age, no active person wants to be out of action for long. The Lateral Health Plan includes access to HealthHero’s Digital Physiotherapy Service, designed to support your recovery from injury, pain, or reduced mobility. You'll have an initial virtual assessment with a qualified physiotherapist.  Then you’ll get a personalised digital treatment plan and rehabilitation.

Our physio service can help you with:

  • Restoring movement and functions that have been affected by injury, illness or disability.
  • Problems affecting your musculoskeletal system, meaning your bones, joints and soft tissue.
  • Mild neurological and cardiorespiratory system issues (your brain, nerves, heart and lungs) depending on how severe the symptoms are.
